Qantas Television Awards

Late last year, Tarsh and I were able to attend the Qantas Television Awards in Auckland. My first thought was that the event was open to the public to attend, but as I found out later in the evening the awards contained about 90% celebrities and about 10% average joe's as myself. Now the evening started out great, with Tarsh and I strolling to the awards and as we walked around the corner to the awards entrance, there stood a roll of red carpet and lined both sides with the New Zealand Paparazzi. I can tell you now, I took some very quick backsteps, thinking.......hoping there was a back entrance for average joe's as myself. We soon plucked up enough courage to brave the paparazzi, and don the red carpet. I remember I was concentrating on smiling and not tripping over. Once inside my suspicions were confirmed, possibly 95% celebs, but it seemed to be okay once I had a few brews. Tarsh and I had a great evening, boozing with the celebs once the formalities were over.
